Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in glass production, is seeking a Production Operator to join their team. You will be part of the production support team, ensuring safety and efficiency in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, teamwork, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Production Operator

Location: Carleton

Pay Range: $19 per hour

Shift: 12-hour shift as assigned (6am to 6pm for 1st shift, and 6pm to 6am for 3rd shift). The schedule includes rotating 36-hour and 48-hour weeks. Overtime may be required, including weekends. Orientations will always be on first shift, and associates will train from 8am to 4pm, or 6pm to 2am. After training, they will be designated to their official shifts.

What's the Job?

• Safely hold and carry glass pieces of various sizes, shapes, and thicknesses weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Repetitively lift and move racks and box lids weighing between 20 to 40 lbs.
• Perform mathematical calculations related to glass product sizes for production, packing, and shipping.
• Communicate effectively and work cooperatively within a fast-paced, team environment.
• Read tape measures and scientific notations accurately, monitor instrumentation, and log information diligently.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements.
• Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Adherence to all safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment.
