Position Summary
The Online Chat Support Agent is responsible for delivering fast, friendly, and accurate assistance to customers through our live chat platform. You will handle inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide product or service information—all while maintaining a positive brand experience. This role is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, digital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries via live chat in a professional and timely manner
Assist customers with product, service, or account-related questions
Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical or service-related issues
Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor
Document customer interactions and feedback accurately in the system
Maintain a high level of product knowledge to provide accurate support
Follow communication guidelines and company policies
Monitor multiple chat sessions simultaneously while ensuring quality service
Identify trends or recurring issues and report them to leadership
Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold customer satisfaction goals
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
Previous experience in customer service or chat support is a plus
Excellent written communication skills and typing speed
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Comfortable working with CRM tools, live chat platforms, and basic web navigation
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends if needed
