Graphic Artist – Children’s Apparel Network (New York, NY)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Graphic Artist with a strong eye for color, trend, and storytelling to join our New York design team. The ideal candidate has experience developing original artwork for children’s apparel, understands current market trends, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Create original graphics, prints, patterns, and appliqué artwork for seasonal children’s apparel collections
• Develop placement art, all-over prints, and logo graphics across multiple age ranges and categories
• Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure graphics align with seasonal themes and brand direction
• Research current trends in color, typography, and children’s fashion to keep designs fresh and relevant
• Prepare detailed art files, color separations, and repeat layouts for production
• Work with licensors and internal teams to ensure artwork meets brand guidelines and approval standards
• Support design presentations with concept boards and color stories
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in graphic design for apparel (children’s experience preferred)
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (knowledge of textile print design a plus)
• Strong illustration skills and an understanding of screen printing and embroidery techniques
• Excellent sense of color, composition, and storytelling
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• Detail-oriented, organized, and a team player
