About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Drug Safety to join their dynamic Safety Team. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and efficacy of the company's products, with a focus on biologics and aesthetic devices. This role is pivotal in overseeing safety across various clinical trial phases, post-marketing pharmacovigilance, and compliance with global regulatory standards. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading safety signal detections, data mining, and risk management activities, as well as interfacing with internal departments and external regulatory bodies. A key aspect of the position is the implementation of vigilance-related SOPs and the timely processing of adverse event data. The ideal candidate will have a medical, nursing, or healthcare degree, with a minimum of 12 years' experience in drug/biotech safety, and a proven track record in problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership. Applicants for the Executive Director, Drug Safety position at the company should hold an MD, DO, or RN degree, with a strong preference for those with a healthcare background. The role requires a results-driven individual with extensive experience in safety signal detections, data mining, and risk management, particularly within the full product lifecycle. The candidate must be adept at preparing global risk management plans, aggregate reports, and benefit/risk assessments. Proficiency in PC and Apple software is essential, as are strong communication, decision-making, and leadership skills. The role demands a high level of adaptability and the ability to react to change with a calm and proactive approach. The Executive Director will also be involved in hosting regulatory body audits and must be prepared for some travel.
