As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol - Part Time in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help discourage unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proficiency with a firearm as part of your daily duties. You will also interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon12:00 PM - 08:00 PMTue08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and/or identification as required.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents.
• Operate communication devices to stay in contact with team members and management.
• Follow all site-specific protocols and procedures, adapting to changing environments and conditions as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
