Plastic Injection Mold Setter (Pitcrew) – Reyes Automotive Group, Applewhite location, 2nd shift (1:30 pm – 10:00 pm). Job Title: Pit Crew Team Member Department: Continuous Improvement – Pit Crew Reports To: Pit Crew Supervisor Direct Reports: None Status: Onsite, Non‑exempt (Hourly) Job Summary This position is responsible for mold changes to support the production schedule. The role requires overtime availability, and offers skill‑based earnings up to $2.00/hour upon completion of training. Key Responsibilities Set injection molding molds in accordance with schedule. Connect water, hot runner, and initial process set‑up with robot and machine. Assist Process Engineers/Process Technicians with minor start‑up procedures and repairs. Perform color changes. Comply with the Reyes Automotive Group safety program. Conduct 5S activities. Make material changes per production schedule. Maintain Pit Crew carts for 5S and restocking. Apply oil pads to floor where needed. Maintain purge and mold change records, completed daily. Communicate daily issues to Pit Crew GL and/or Process Engineering. Ensure adherence to safety standards. Complete machine platen preventive maintenance. Perform any other related work as directed by manager. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED. Experience Minimum 1 year in fast‑paced manufacturing environments. Technical experience preferred; automotive industry preferred. Certificates, Licenses & Regs None required. Computer Skills Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and e‑mail/web browsers. Mathematical Abilities Intermediate‑advanced math proficiency. Strong analytical, planning, and critical‑thinking skills. Ability to understand and follow written technical procedures. Communication Skills English reading, writing, and speaking. Highly effective verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal effectiveness. Bilingual English‑Spanish preferred. Other Skills Ability to learn the technical aspects of the position. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work. Strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects. Initiative, positive attitude, works well independently. Physical Requirements 100% on the production floor. Lift 25 lb. individually; team lift 50 lb. Perform job safely per SOP; wear required PPE.
