Harney District Hospital of Burns, OR is looking to hire a compassionate LPC to work in our Family Care Clinic to accept warm-hand offs and provide assessment and brief treatments to our patients with behavioral needs. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide an active presence to the HDH Family Care clinical teams
  • Provide assessment and treatment interventions to patients referred by medical providers
  • Provide therapeutic services to patients and their families
  • Assist primary health care providers in recognizing and treating mental health disorders and psychosocial problems

Education and Experience:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work and / or Counseling from accredited school.
  • Must possess an active and unencumbered Oregon State Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences
  • Social and cultural sensitivity appropriate to ethnically and economically diverse patient and employee-base
  • Experience with motivational interviewing techniques.

Job Type: Full Time

Hours per Week: 40

Pay: $35.15 - $47.24 per hour DOE
