Overview Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. (FRLS) is a non-profit law firm that provides free civil legal aid to eligible individuals, families, and vulnerable communities across 13 Florida counties, as well as to farm workers statewide. Learn more at This position is responsible for overseeing the technical infrastructure, eliminating security risks, and determining business requirements while leading a team of IT professionals. The IT Director will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Essential Functions Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department. Identifies and eliminates security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security. Analyzes business requirements of IT needs and systems. Manages configurations between offices such as VPN connections, firewall troubleshooting, WAN traffic, etc. Coordinates the support of new network equipment including hardware replacement and hardware failures. Coordinate SharePoint cloud migration. Oversee and manages new office setup and new employee setup Performs and oversees software installation and upgrades; maintains licenses for department and organization. Evaluate and recommends purchases of all Technology for the entire organization. Leads contracting, and negotiations related to IT Creates processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support systems Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance Oversees project management and development of applications Perform other duties assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related Field. Minimum ten years of experience working in IT operations and leading IT teams. Strong background in cybersecurity Experience in regulations and compliance Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management (VOIP, Mobile, SaaS, Cloud, etc). Experience with network protocols, security, and management. Migration of current user profiles to Intune (Azure-Cloud) Travel is required. Working conditions This position operates in a professional work environment. Physical Requirements This is a largely sedentary role, however, some lifting of office supplies of up to 50 pounds may be required. Must be able to travel throughout Florida, as needed. Reports All IT staff. Salary And Benefits The salary for this position is $95,000 based on experience. FRLS offers a very generous benefits package that includes 403(b) with employer-paid contribution; health insurance (medical, dental, and vision) for employees and their dependents; paid leave (up to 5 weeks of PTO, 2 personal days, and 13 holidays).
