SCRIPTEM is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented File Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the organization and accessibility of our vast array of documents and files, ensuring a seamless workflow within our office. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy as they manage physical and electronic files. Your duties will involve categorizing and filing documents, maintaining a filing system that is both efficient and effective, and assisting other departments in locating important records. Collaborating closely with team members, you will contribute to the overall productivity of the organization by ensuring that every document is properly documented and securely stored. Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
  • Sort and classify documents according to established guidelines.
  • Retrieve requested files for staff and management in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all files are accurately labeled and stored in the correct location.
  • Assist with the archiving of records that are no longer in regular use.
  • Perform regular audits of files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support other administrative functions as needed, including data entry and document preparation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a file clerk or in a similar administrative role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with office equipment, such as fax machines and printers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic database skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
