This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with some construction-related experience who are eager to learn and grow within a supportive team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Learn to conduct thorough coating inspections on various construction projects.
  • Complete detailed field inspection reports and document findings accurately.
  • Use specialized field-testing equipment and assist with testing on-site.
  • Work alongside our experienced engineering team, gaining hands-on experience.
  • Adhere to Dixon Engineering’s inspection techniques, safety standards, and construction methodology.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Entry-level candidates with some construction-related experience (whether from previous jobs, internships, or projects).
  • Ability to work at heights upwards of 150' and in various outdoor environments.
  • A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college education or construction-related experience is a plus.

Work Week:

  • Full-Time, including some nights and weekends

Compensation:

$21 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee coating and construction activities, ensuring strict conformance to project specifications throughout the process.
  • Use testing instruments and devices to conduct thorough inspections at various stages of the project.
  • Approve quality work practices, document specification violations, and generate detailed daily inspection reports.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive daily records, including photos, for project inspection documentation.
  • Adhere to and enforce safe working practices to ensure a secure job site for all team members.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record required.
  • High school diploma required; some college or technical education in inspection technology, engineering, construction management, or construction technology is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and work at heights safely.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality work in a construction environment.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Basic computer skills are required for reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Positive attitude and an exceptional work ethic.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and maintain professionalism on the job site.
  • Organized, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate safe work habits on construction sites.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
