Allied Universal® is hiring a Director of Safety & Security for a Client who believes in providing the best Guest Service to all their visitors in the San Francisco area. This is your opportunity to lead with purpose, make a real impact, and create a safer environment for those who count on you. **The ideal candidate must possess a high proficiency in providing the best customer service while providing a culture of a "One Team" mentality and Extreme Ownership.** **Why Join Allied Universal?** + **Career Growth:** Opportunities to advance within a global leader in security services + **Impactful Work:** Play a vital role in protecting people, property, and businesses + **Supportive Team:** Work with caring professionals dedicated to safety and excellence **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + **Enhance Client Relationships:** Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and visitors ensuring high-quality service that protects people and property + Act as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders, presenting security insights in business language + Foster a culture of vigilance, integrity, and hospitality aligned with client service expectation + **Manage scheduling:** Leverage AI-powered technology to effectively schedule security officers, meeting client contract hours while minimizing unbilled overtime + Align staffing plans with multi-year roadmaps that enhance security posture and budget alignment + **Lead and Develop Security Teams:** Hire, coach and manage security officers and supervisors while overseeing payroll, performance, and employee relations + Lead training on handling sensitive situations (e.g., intoxicated guests, theft, disturbances) through a hospitality lens + Mentor and discipline staff to maintain a mission-ready, guest-focused workforce + Design and deliver ongoing training, tabletop exercises, and assessments tied to post orders and emergency readiness + **Handle Security Incidents and Emergencies:** Respond to escalated issues professionally, coordinating with clients and internal teams + Serve as Incident Commander during critical events, managing resources and communications while minimizing guest disruption + Conduct after-action reviews to drive continuous improvement + **Direct Compliance and Security Operational Excellence:** Oversee training, safety, and site operational standards as well as managing inventory (uniforms, equipment, and other essential supplies) + Ensure all security protocols support a welcoming, guest-friendly environment + Build and maintain partnerships with public-sector agencies for joint training and emergency response coordination **QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):** + High school diploma or equivalent + **Former command-level law enforcement or military leader with experience managing personnel and critical incidents** + **Former Security Management experience working for a Hospitality or Commercial Real Estate Client** + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment + Valid driver's license if driving a company vehicle or personal vehicle while conducting business + Minimum of two (1) year of experience in business operations, security management, or supervising teams in a fast-paced environment + Experience in leading, developing, and retaining a dynamic team while building positive client relationships + Knowledge of emergency preparedness, physical security protocols, risk assessments, and law enforcement coordination + Proven ability to evaluate situations, make sound independent decisions, and resolve conflicts in an efficient manner + Proficiency in web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office + Ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees while managing multiple projects and driving operational excellence + Financial acumen; able to manage staffing levels while minimizing non-billed overtime and managing turnover costs; planning and organizing skills to control costs related to inventory (uniforms, equipment, etc.) **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):** + Hospitality Management experience is a plus! + College degree in Business Administration or a law enforcement-related field + American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification + Previous payroll, billing, or scheduling experience + Aptitude with security systems: CCTV, access control, and badge administration + Graduate of certified public safety academy (e.g., Law Enforcement, firefighter/paramedic, or Corrections Officer) **BENEFITS:** + Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance + Enrollment in our company's 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements + Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days + Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
