Job Summary:The Campus Safety Officer has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, maintaining the safety, security, and operational integrity of the Seahawk Landing residential facility. This role ensures a welcoming and secure environment for student residents, guests, and visitors through vigilant monitoring, proactive engagement, and consistent enforcement of housing policies. This is a non-exempt position that reports to LSCPAs Campus Safety Department.
Minimum Qualifications:$40,000
Work Hours:40 hours per week. 9:00 pm - 5:00 am. Must be able to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Essential Job Functions:Sign in/out all residents, guests, and visitors entering or exiting Seahawk Landing

Essential Job Functions:Maintain accurate logs of visitor activity and resident movement
Essential Job Functions:Conduct hourly patrols of the dormitory grounds, including common areas, hallways, and outdoor spaces
Essential Job Functions:Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, or maintenance issues
Essential Job Functions:Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services as needed
Essential Job Functions:Monitor live and recorded footage from dormitory security cameras
Essential Job Functions:Report and document any incidents captured on video
Essential Job Functions:Ensure camera systems are functioning properly and notify Director of Campus Safety of technical issues
Essential Job Functions:Enforce housing policies and procedures in collaboration with Residence Life staff
Essential Job Functions:Mediate minor disputes and escalate concerns to the Director of Safety
Essential Job Functions:Submit incident reports and student conduct referrals when necessary
