As a Armed Security Guard - Government Site - Flex in Lakeland, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proficiency with a firearm as part of your daily duties. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related incidents or hazards to the appropriate authorities.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
• Must possess an armed guard card or license.
• Must have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
• Must possess a corrections officer license.
• Must possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
