As an Armed Security Officer at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community.

There are two positions available with the same schedule. The schedule would be 9:00 am-5:30 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 42.5 hour per week, with the option to work on Saturday 9:00 am-12:30 pm for an additional 3.5 hours/week. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability.

All armed security guards working in Denver must obtain an Armed Denver Security Guard License immediately upon hire.

Our office is located in Fort Collins. Candidates must be willing to drive to Fort Collins for an interview and at least 16 hours of training.

Critical Roles of the Position

• Access Control: Monitor and manage the point of entry to ensure only authorized personnel, customers, and visitors are permitted on bank premises. Maintain strict access control protocols to secure sensitive areas within the bank.
• Perimeter Checks: Conduct regular patrols of the bank's exterior and interior to identify any potential security vulnerabilities, suspicious activities, or unauthorized individuals.
• Customer Relations: Provide a welcoming and professional presence, assisting customers with directions, inquiries, and any security concerns. Balance security enforcement with a customer-focused approach to maintain a positive banking experience.
• Proper Reporting Procedures: Document all incidents, observations, and suspicious activities accurately and promptly, following bank policies for report filing. Communicate effectively with bank management, law enforcement, and emergency response teams when necessary to ensure transparency and adherence to protocol.

Precision Security Team or the client can assign other duties to you as necessary at any time.

Pay: This W2 position pays $26.00/hour. Employees who work 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, accident, and hospital indemnity insurance. Colorado offers additional benefits to all employees, including paid sick leave, Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program, which provides paid leave, and a secure savings option through a Roth IRA program.

Hiring Process: Assessments will be scored based on answering the question, and proper use of grammar and written communication. Please do not write "see resume" or "can be discussed during the interview" as your answer. We are looking for answers with specific examples and/or thorough, multiple sentence answers to the questions.

Our hiring process begins with a thorough review of resumes to identify candidates who align well with our company’s needs. If your resume stands out, you will receive a call for an initial phone screen. Following a successful phone screen, we will invite you to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and other relevant management team members.

During the interview, we ask that you use the S.T.A.R. technique. The STAR technique is a structured method used to answer behavioral interview questions by clearly outlining a Situation, Task, Action, and Result. This approach helps candidates provide comprehensive and well-organized responses that showcase their skills and experiences effectively, and helps candidates provide answers that are coherent, concise, and impactful, making it easier for interviewers to assess their competencies and fit for the role. Should you advance past this stage, a job offer will be extended to you. After the offer is accepted, we conduct a background check and proceed with online onboarding.

PST adheres to a hands-off approach whenever possible, prioritizing verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques. The only instance where physical intervention is appropriate is if an individual poses an immediate physical threat to themselves, others, or you. Acceptable physical intervention techniques will be taught during our mandatory Phase I training.

Employment with Precision Security Team is "at-will," meaning that either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, as permitted by Colorado law. This at-will employment relationship cannot be altered or modified except by a written agreement signed by both the employee and an authorized representative of the company.

All knowledge about a site's staff, customers, products, events, procedures, facilities, etc. must remain confidential. Any improper public or personal disclosure will result in discipline up to and including termination.

Requirements:

Your application will be automatically rejected if you are not 21 years of age or older, do not have a high school diploma or GED, and/or do not have previous firearm experience.

• able to train and become certified to use an approved firearm
• ability to use/maintain/operate/manipulate firearm, handcuffs, and other issued gear
• able to stand and walk around for at least eight hours at a time
• able to pass company basic hand-to-hand course
• able to walk up and down stairs frequently throughout your shift
• able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
• able to wear issued gear belt for the entire duration of your assigned shift
