Overview The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online AP English Language and Composition tutors nationally. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you can set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home. Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects. You can earn higher pay for each session with the same student, up to $40/hour. Payments are issued up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced. Responsibilities Provide personalized 1-on-1 online AP English Language and Composition tutoring. Match with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise. Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and focus on instruction. Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and logistics. What We Look For In a Tutor Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in AP English Language and Composition with the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
