We are seeking an Associate Director Product Manager - Payment Innovation to join our team in Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, or Plantation, FL offices and play a pivotal role in the customer payments space. This role will own strategy, development, and execution of a new client-facing financial experience that expands how Chewy shows up in moments that matter to pet parents. Your effort from early definition through go-to-market, while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, external suppliers, and Chewy leadership are vital to a forward-thinking approach. You will report into the Director of Payments, Fraud, and Gift Cards. What You’ll Do Define and implement a product roadmap for a new customer-facing financial offering, passionate about driving dedication, trust, and long-term engagement. Deliver end-to-end product lifecycle from early concept development to partner selection, systems integration, servicing design, and launch. Translate customer needs and business strategy into clear product requirements and technical specifications. Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, marketing, analytics, and external partners to bring the product to life. Develop and implement key performance metrics to monitor product health, customer adoption, and engagement outcomes. Serve as the connective tissue across internal and external team members, ensuring alignment and accountability at every stage. Deliver product documentation, insights, and updates to senior leadership on roadmap, resourcing, risks, and achievements. What You’ll Need 7+ years of experience in product management, with 4+ years in payments, FinTech, Loyalty, or related fields. Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, finance, or equivalent experience. Experience working on or with credit card programs is a plus, especially involving partners, card networks, or servicing design. Ability to lead product development involving systems and integrations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop cases, evaluate tradeoffs, and navigate ambiguity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience making pitches to team members. Strong collaboration and team management abilities. Ability to work in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments with a sense of ownership. A passion for building products that create value.
